Terms of membership | Together and Stronger

1. Membership

Membership is open to anyone with a foreign-born story: people born abroad, whatever their status, US citizens born abroad, the US-born children of foreign-born parents, and their families, relatives and friends. Each adult receives a digital member card.

2. Price

Membership is a flat fee of $15 per adult per year.
Children under 18 are always free on a parent’s membership.
One household checkout can cover from 1 to 10 adults.

3. Renewal

Membership renews automatically each year. We send a reminder before each renewal, and we give at least 30 days’ notice of any price change.

4. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel in one step, at any time, with no retention call. If you cancel within 30 days of your first payment, you receive a full refund. After that, membership runs to the end of the paid year and partial refunds are not given.

5. Benefits

Every benefit shows its status: live, rolling out, or free for all. Partner programmes are added and updated as each agreement is signed, and may change.

6. What membership is not

Membership is not insurance. Insurance programmes are offered through licensed carriers under their own terms.
The Mutual Aid Compact is a commitment between associations. It is not insurance and creates no right to payment.
We do not provide legal, immigration, tax or financial advice, and we do not represent anyone before any authority.

7. Fair use

Your card is personal to you and your household. We may end a membership that is used for fraud or to harm other members, with a refund of any unused period.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes are heard in the courts of Los Angeles County.
