Together and StrongerCOACHING
Coaching · Free to members

Somebody in this community has already solved the problem you are facing.

Volunteer coaches — people who have built the business, changed the career, learned the system — sitting down with members who are where they once were. Free, never a sales pitch, and never a substitute for a licensed professional.

Four tracks

What coaching covers.

Deliberately narrow. Each track has a defined scope and a clear line where a coach stops and refers out.

Career

For members looking for work, changing field, or trying to move up in one.

  • Résumés that work in the US market
  • Interview practice, in English or your language
  • Getting foreign credentials and degrees recognised
  • Understanding pay, benefits and what to ask for
  • Licensing and certification pathways

Business & entrepreneurship

For members running a business, or trying to start one.

  • Registering properly and choosing a structure
  • Pricing, bookkeeping and cash flow
  • Licences, permits and insurance you actually need
  • Hiring your first employee, lawfully
  • Finding customers beyond your own community

Money & household

General financial literacy. Education, never personalised investment advice.

  • Building credit from nothing
  • Understanding a lease, a loan or an insurance quote
  • Sending money home for less
  • Budgeting across two countries
  • What a retirement account is and who may open one

Settling in

The practical knowledge nobody hands you on arrival.

  • Schools, enrolment and talking to teachers
  • Healthcare — where to go, what it costs
  • Driving, licensing and public transport
  • Renting, deposits and tenant rights
  • Everyday systems: banking, utilities, taxes
How it works

Four sessions, then you decide.

Short and finite by design. Open-ended coaching relationships drift, and drift is where problems start.

Tell us what you need

A short form. Which track, what you are trying to do, which languages you speak, and when you are free.

We match you

With a vetted coach who has done the thing you are trying to do, in your language wherever possible.

Four sessions

Roughly an hour each, over two or three months. By video, phone, or in person at an association meeting — your choice.

You decide what happens next

Continue with the same coach, switch tracks, or stop. There is no obligation and no cost either way.

We ask you both how it went

Short feedback from member and coach after every engagement. It is how we find the coaches worth keeping and the ones who should not continue.

The rules

What a coach may never do.

Published openly, because a member should know exactly what to expect before they sit down with a stranger. Every coach signs these.

Non-negotiable, and grounds for immediate removal
  • Never charge a member anything. Not a fee, not expenses, not a gift, not a "discount for members." Coaching is free, always.
  • Never sell to a member, or solicit their business. A coach who is prospecting for clients is not a coach. This includes insurance, investments, real estate, franchises, multi-level marketing, and their own professional services.
  • Never give immigration advice. Not an opinion, not "what my cousin did," not a referral to someone who is not a licensed attorney or accredited representative.
  • Never give personalised legal, tax, medical, or investment advice. General education is welcome. "Here is what you specifically should do with your money" is not.
  • Never ask about immigration status. Not a coach's business, and not ours.
  • Never counsel mental health. If a member is struggling emotionally, a coach's only job is to say so kindly and refer to a licensed professional. Coaches are given that referral list.
  • Never handle a member's money, documents, or accounts. No holding cash, no signing on their behalf, no logging into their accounts.
  • Never meet a minor alone. Members under 18 are coached only with a parent or guardian present.
For coaches

What we ask of you.

We are putting you in a room with someone who trusts us. The bar is set accordingly.

Before you start

Vetting

  • An application describing your actual experience in the track
  • Two references we will contact
  • A background check, at our cost
  • The signed coach agreement, including the rules above
  • Completion of a short coach orientation

Professionals who hold a licence — accountants, attorneys, licensed producers — are welcome and valuable. You coach in a general capacity here, not as a practitioner, and you may not take a member as a client.

While you serve

Expectations

  • Four sessions per member, roughly an hour each
  • A brief note after each session, filed with the coordinator
  • No one-to-one meetings in a private residence
  • Refer out the moment a question leaves your track
  • Report any concern about a member's safety immediately

Most coaches take one or two members at a time. It is a real commitment and a finite one — you are not signing up for life.

Get involved

Coach, or be coached.

Nothing is open yet. Tell us which side you are on and we will write when it starts.

Tracks you could take

Coaching is unpaid. Coaches are background checked, sign the rules above, and may never charge or sell to a member. We never ask your immigration status.

What would help most?

Free to members. No payment is being collected. We never ask your immigration status, and a coach never will either.
