Membership dues will fund the organization once it opens. Until then, the work is carried by people giving time and by early support — and there is a great deal of it to do.

Consular Desk verifier
Call one consulate, work through our question list, and confirm what they will and will not pay for. Each call turns a draft page into a verified one that families can rely on at 2am.
Association liaison
Introduce us to the hometown associations, churches and unions you already know. Sit in the meeting with us, translate if needed, and vouch that we are real.
Translator
Spanish and French first, then more. The Consular Desk and the Compact matter most — someone is reading them on the worst day of their life, so the wording has to be right.
Merchant outreach
Sign the shops, restaurants, markets and barbers in your own neighbourhood. Local merchants are where the national discount networks cannot reach, and where our members actually spend.
Case verification
When mutual aid opens, verified volunteers check documents against the protocol before a case goes to the network. Careful, unglamorous, and the reason the whole thing can be trusted.
Community meetings
Host or organise an information session for your association, church or neighbourhood. We bring the materials and answer questions in whatever language the meeting is held in.
Legal & insurance
Attorneys, licensed producers and compliance people: review our partner agreements, our disclosures and our structure. This is where the organization succeeds or gets shut down.
Accounting & audit
Set up books that can survive an audit from the first dollar, and help design the public case ledger so every disbursement is traceable.

Film and edit short explainers in several languages. What the Consular Desk does, what the Compact is, what a membership will cover. Plain, calm, no hype.

Gifts to Together and Stronger are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. A membership association of this kind does not take deductible gifts, and we would rather say so here than have you find out at tax time. If you want a deductible gift, tell us and we will point you to the right vehicle once it exists.
We publish where the money goes. Every disbursement from the emergency fund appears in the public case ledger with the vendor paid and the receipt filed. Operating spending is published in the annual report.
We will never sell or share donor information. Not to partners, not to any affiliated organization, not to anyone.
